Job Description

RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:

 

  1. Work with consultants, as necessary, to prepare and submit socioeconomic impact assessments and related study
  2. Interface with project engineering, MCL functional groups, construction and EPC contractors, as appropriate, to ensure proper information is conveyed and assisted by the suitable P&GA staff when communicating with external stakeholders
  3. Interface and coordinate activities with MCL functional groups, as appropriate, to develop and implement appropriate plans for interfacing with external stakeholders i.e. (but not limited to) Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Province and Regional government agencies, and local communities
  4.  Supervise and monitor the implementation of socioeconomic procedures and/or standards (Upstream Socioeconomic Standard) to ensure that they comply with company policies, Corporate Environmental Guidance, the approved AMDAL, RKL, and RPL documents, and applicable regulatory requirements/obligations.
  5. Assist project team, as appropriate, on special tasks and studies related to overall socio-economic impacts and provide inputs on socioeconomic compliance status for the project
  6. Prepare project internal socio-economic stewardship reports, as well as external reports required to satisfy Government or external financial institution conditions/requests
  7. Review the RKL/RPL report for socioeconomic issue developed by EPC Contractor prior submitting to functional group in MCL Development

 

 

Requirements

Required KNOWLEDGE, qualifications, skills, and EXPERIENCES:

  1. 3+ years broad-based experience preferred, with prior experience in disciplines of Environmental, Regulatory and Socioeconomic and project experience
  2. Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) preferably from Environmental Engineering and Social science.
  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.  The ability to speak Javanese is an additionally desirable attribute.
  4. Adaptable to changing priorities and able to travel and/or relocated for field based assignments
  5. Ability to interact proactively in the Project’s interest, with EPC contractor, local Government offices and local community in East Java province
