Job Description

RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:

  1. Facilitate and coordinate engineering technical work products for Mooring Tower Fabrication Site
  2. Gain alignment with the Site Team on engineering needs, objectives, and requirements
  3. Participate in site kick-off meetings with the EPC contractor, PMT, and Subcontractor(s) to ensure common understanding of engineering requirements, deliverables, and ROS (Required on Site) dates
  4. Ensure engineering deliverables are on site by the ROS dates
  5. Track and progress engineering changes which effect the Mooring Tower Fabrication
  6. Facilitate communication of various project execution issues within the Site Team that affect the engineering design
  7. Provide engineering deliverables as required by Site Team members (3D model screen shots, P&IDs, cut sheets, etc.)
  8. Cooperate with various review teams and post audit activities
  9. Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; Ensure that such deviations will be processed according to project procedures; maintains Site Deviation Control Log.
  10. Keep MT Construction Site Lead and Engineer Manager informed of engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
  11. Minimize engineering disruptions to MT Fabrication work
  12. Provide all of the engineering data (narrative, charts, graphs, etc.) required for weekly and monthly progress report
  13. Maintain the Site Team Engineering files (electronic and hardcopy) to ensure the most recent revisions of engineering deliverables are available for use by the Site Team at all times
  14. Participate in the MCL lessons learned process
  15. Steward EPC contractor and Subcontractor(s)’ activities with respect to Mooring Tower Fabrication Site engineering execution including:
  16. Verify engineering staffing is adequate to support work scope
  17. Verify appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software are available and in use
  18. Verify on site engineering progress measurement and reporting
  19. Ensure adherence to project specifications, Company standards, regulatory requirements
  20. Ensure most recent revision of engineering deliverables are available and in use at the shop level

 

Requirements

Required KNOWLEDGE, qualifications, skills, and EXPERIENCES:

 

Broad knowledge of :

  1. Design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  2. Offshore facilities and structures design, construction, and operations
  3. Oil and Gas Industry practices, processes, and expectations with respect to project engineering
  4. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  5. 10-15 years engineering experience
  6. 5+ years fabrication engineering experience
  7. Working knowledge of:
  8. Piping fabrication methods
  9. Piping, Isometrics and shop Drawings 
  10. Indonesian National Standard (SNI)
  11. Structural fabrication methods, cut sheets, and shop Drawings
  12. Mechanical equipment
  13. Instrumentation
  14. Electrical equipment
  15. Well versed in safe work practices
  16. Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical report writing and presentations
  17. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, and other Engineering programs
